First of all I want to thank each and every one of you who are reading this right now for your love and support! I wanted to take the time to really share with you guys how and why I started, and how I have gotten to where I am right now in my life.
I began my fitness journey almost 3 years ago when I was just 17 years old. I grew up being a very insecure person, and I noticed that I was insecure at a very young age. I don't want to go into too much detail, but I will say that my family dynamic growing up was very dysfunctional and in school I dealt with my fair share of "bullies". By the time I reached my teenage years I was aware of the fact that I was a very angry and negative person and I felt extremely alone. When I was 17, there was one day that I had woken up and I looked at myself in the mirror and just thought to myself "enough is enough". I was done feeling insecure, done being angry, done living my life for the satisfaction of other people, and I decided that I deserved more, and that I was good enough!
I got a gym membership and began working out even though I wasn't exactly sure where to start. I always had goals to have a curvy and built body, and I saw women at my gym with those types of bodies lifting weights, so I began doing the same. I met a few women who offered to help me, and they were actually bikini competitors. That's when I was first introduced to the idea of competeing, and I decided that I wanted to try it out. I ended up getting a coach, a male coach, and I began a 16 week prep for a bikini competition. At this time I was still in high school, but I was so focused on my goals that it didn't matter. I always made time to workout and eat my meals, even if it meant eating in the bathroom in between classes! This type of coaching cost $1,500 for 16 weeks!!! Unfortunately when I received the program, I looked at it and didn't follow it at all. I just felt like it wasn't enough so I began training simply how I instinctually felt I was supposed to be training, which is a good thing because I was able to learn my body and what works best for me and my goals through my own trial and error. Studies have even shown that women actually need more volume than men and can actually get away with training more frequently than men, and recover a lot faster. So it's almost as if my body knew those things when I started training because my program was made by a male and the volume and frequency was extremely low, which simply didn't feel right to me. The way that my body instinctually wanted to train is a way that has been proven to work really well for women. I never ended up competeing and I am really glad I didn't because it really just was not for me and my goals were not in align with competeing.
Overtime I continued progressing with my style of eating and training. I have now gained over 20lbs and I am well on my way to achieving the body of my dreams. More importantly though, I have grown so much as a person and my mindset is so much stronger now. Altough I still have more growing to do, I now feel like I am in a position in my life to really help others achieve their goals as well, which is why I feel like it's time to put out my first ever program/challenge!
The Shaesthetics Challenge
This challenge is something that I have wanted to do for a LONG time and I am now in a position to do it, and I am so grateful and excited. This challenge will be based off of my style of training and will incorporate EVERYTHING that has worked for me in the past, and everything that is working for me currently. I will be doing this challenge with you, so your day one is my day one, and we will be helping each other along our journies!
The entire challenge is 24 weeks of training that will be split up into 3 different phases. Each phase will be 8 weeks long. For the first 3 weeks of each phase we will be gradually increasing our volume and strength. On week 4 we will be deloading, meaning we will still be training, but we will be allowing our bodies to rest more by not training as hard, and mainly focusing on form and recovery. For the next 3 weeks we will be increasing intensity, and then we will do one more deload week at the end! After all weeks have been completed, we will take 10 whole days off to rest and get ready for phase 2 and so on!
You will have the option to purchase one phase at a time or purchase them all at once at a discounted price to secure your entry to each phase. I am doing it like this because I want to set you all up to succeed long term, this style of training will be maintanable and it will be something that you can stick to while continuously progressing overtime!
Since I will be completeing this challenge with you, I will film the full workouts and have them available here on my website for you.You will also receive access to a closed Facebook group and my private email. The program will also contain guidance on nutrition, supplements, and minset!
